MARCH 25

I MET WITH INVESTORS in Riverside, California to show-off a rough cut of trailer footage. Once I started bragging about our shoot, they had to counter-brag with some of their past projects, stuff they've been involved with in one way or another.
THE BIG DICK CONTEST almost ended in their favor when they showed me their "TV Room." Holy crap. One wall was completely dominated by a TV the size of my living room wall. First, we watched samples of films from other production companies (who had submitted to these same investors for funding) and I'm sorry, but the video just fell apart when it hit the large screen.
THEN CAME KNIFE TO A GUN FIGHT. Rough footage, unmixed sound, everything raw as a porterhouse steak at a cannibal camp, and it was just BEAUTIFUL. I was in love all over again, Laura Silverman and Rachel True, bigger than life and even more gorgeous than I remember them. And trust me, I remember them being pretty gorgeous. Our investors kept saying things like "Oh, so the whole movie is shot," and "You shot this in three days? Wow."
AND I GOT TO STAND THERE and take all the credit. Thanks to a great cast and a crew that still don't know how to quit. This footage is totally rocking the socks off of everyone who sees it. |
